Our Gardens
The Bridge is gone for now, but the gardens remain and we are welcoming visitors. We have 20 themed gardens on both sides of the Rocky Broad river, where the historic 1925 Bridge used to be. Each garden reveals a new surprise, from charming sculptures to a diverse collection of beautiful plants, all designed to educate visitors and ignite inspiration for gardening.
East End Gardens
On the Lake Lure side of the river, is where it all began. Original plants dating back to our 2013 beginnings still grow along the remaining balustrades of the old 1925 bridge. Relax on one of the benches or chairs and enjoy a spectacular view of the river and surrounding mountains.

West End Gardens
The west end gardens are on the Chimney Rock side of the river. They surround our Education Center building. Visitors can explore the whimsical gardens and enjoy spectacular views of the river and the mountains above.
