Is there an admission charge?

There is no fee to visit the Bridge. It is sustained by donations, and yours are appreciated.

What are your hours of operation?

The Bridge is open 24 hours a day year-round.

How much time should we allow for a visit?

You can walk the Bridge in 30 minutes if you’re in a hurry, but we recommend at least an hour to experience the gardens fully.

Is the Bridge wheelchair accessible?

The Bridge itself and most of the surrounding gardens are wheelchair accessible.

Can the physically disabled enjoy the Bridge?

Absolutely. There is an audio tour, seating for those who need to rest and wheelchair accessible paths and parking.

Are there restrooms on the premises?

There is a regularly serviced porta potty at the Bridge. Restrooms are also located nearby at the Lake Lure Welcome Center and in Chimney Rock Village.

Is parking available?

Yes, there is parking for cars, vans and small RVs. Bus tour operators should contact info@LakeLureFloweringBridge.org to make arrangements.

Are dogs allowed?

Dogs on a leash are welcome. The Bridge provides poop bags, water bowls and features a dog-inspired garden.

Do you have a picnic area?

Not at this time. Picnic tables are located along the river, in Lake Lure behind the tennis courts and in Chimney Rock Village. Please do not eat or picnic on the Bridge.

When is the best time to see the most plants/flowers in bloom?

April through June is a great time to see a variety of plants and flowers, but there is always something blooming. Check out the bloom schedule on this website.

What can I put on the Rainbow Bridge to honor my pet?

We only have room for collars and tags. Other items will have to be removed. Thanks for understanding.
